FNC Holds Its 11th Session
Abu Dhabi, WAM:
The Federal National Council (FNC) held today its 11th session chaired by the
Speaker of FNC Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair in presence of State Minister of
the FNC Affairs Dr Mohammed Anwar Gargash, Mariam Al Roumi, Social Affairs
Minister, Humaid Al Qatami, Minister of Education, Saqr Ghobash, Minister of
Labor and board member of Emirates Identity Authority and a number of officials.
Al Ghurair condemned the Israeli attack on " The fleet of Freedom" which was
heading to Gaza strip to deliver some relief supplies and break the humanitarian
blockade imposed on its citizens.
The FNC members unanimously demanded to issue a statement later today condemning
the Israeli crime towards the civilians who came from over 40 Arab and foreign
countries, indicating that the statement would denounced the Israeli crime
against civilians and include every word said by the Speaker.
On the reports received by the FNC, it approved the remarks made by President HH
Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the amendment of provisions of the federal
law No. 47 of 1992, regarding the establishment of the " marriage fund
corporation."
The FNC also agreed upon the recommendation of the Foreign
Ministry on changing the word "dispute over the Islands" to " Iranian
occupation" of the Emirati islands of Tunb Greater, Tunb Lesser and Abu Moussa.
The resolutions also called for stepping up the diplomatic efforts on the
occupied Islands and setting up executive steps in coordination with media to
reflect true image of the occupation and its repercussions.
They also called for
setting up permanent center or museum about the three occupied islands as a
reminder to officials and those concerned about the islands.
