Ministry unveils link for licenses

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family Affairs, and Childhood and
the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, unveiled the
Ministry’s intention to issue licenses for private nurseries electronically via
an application automatically connected to the Sahel application on Thursday.
Minister Al-Huwailah confirmed in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)
that this service will allow citizens to apply for licenses for private
nurseries within the framework of the Ministry’s plan, which is aimed at digital
transformation, ending the documentary cycle, and facilitating all procedures
with various services provided to citizens.
She pointed out the Ministry’s keenness to finalize all technical procedures
related to it so that it will be in service soon after the completion of the
integrated electronic link with the application (Sahel) and a number of
government agencies such as the Ministry of Interior, Education, Health, Kuwait
Municipality, and the Disability and Fire Authority to speed up the pace of work
and simplify procedures for citizens.
The minister explained that the application will allow citizens to follow up on
the procedures in all steps transparently through email, SMS text messages, and
easy application notifications. She stressed the need for full digital
transformation and electronic connectivity to all the Ministry’s services in
accordance with government’s directives on the basic objectives of the
development plan, including digital transformation and integrated automated
connectivity between state institutions.
On the other hand, the minister held a meeting with Ministry officials and
affiliated bodies, such as the Commission for People with Disabilities and the
Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in the presence of the undersecretary of the
Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ajmi. She reviewed a visual
presentation that includes the mechanism of this electronic application, its
objectives, and the mechanism of activating the automatic link with government
agencies. She pointed out the need to develop an integrated strategic plan to
provide the best services, address the needs of citizens, overcome obstacles,
facilitate transactions, implement the open door policy, and make all efforts to
serve citizens in the best possible way.
